Questions? Reach out to us anytime - your thoughts and inquiries on my wines are very important to me. Please be mindful though - we are a tiny operation and there are many times of the year when every waking moment is spent nurturing and harvesting our vineyards, so there may be a couple of days delay in my response.

Pinet, France

South of the A9 motorway, and tucked between sprawling garrigue forests and the bassin de Thau lagoon that backs onto the Gulf of Lion within the Mediterranean Sea, you will find the small Languedoc village of Pinet, believed to be established in 967. Throughout this area, you can still find remnants of the Via Domitia - a road linking Italy and Spain, that was built and marched upon by the Romans circa 2nd century BC.

Pinet with a population of circa 2100 residents, has become famous for the production of AOP Picpoul de Pinet wines which are now the largest white wine AOC in the Languedoc region with an annual production of approximately 45,000 hectolitres. There are multiple vine growing and winemaking enterprises in and around the village, producing AOP Picpoul de Pinet along with a variety of other French wine varieties including red, white, rose and sparkling wines.

Independent of the AOC, and recognised by Vin de France, Domaine Romain Julbe has family vineyards of varying ages around the village of Pinet, and all wines are crafted and bottled by owner and winemaker Romain Julbe at his humble family barn.
